About Our Academy

The City of Peterborough Special School provides 4-18 education for up to 50 pupils from Reception to Year 7 in the first year, moving to full capacity of 90 pupils by 2018. We specialise in the education of pupils who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or EHC Plan, linked to their diagnosis of Autism, in particular high functioning Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The Special School opened in September 2012 in existing buildings on the old Hereward School site in Peterborough.
